A New Zealand natural skincare brand

Nature’s Identity is a a New Zealand natural skincare brand. Boasting no synthetics or chemicals, the products are made in small batches with premium ingredients.

The Logo

The first stage was development of the Nature’s Identity Logo.  The client wanted to incorporate a key or an orchid as the logo icon to support the brand tagline – “your key to beauty”.  We settled on an elegant single-coloured logo that would work well on product labels and marketing collateral.  Being a single colour, it could also be foil stamped for extra luxury, or reversed out of a dark background with ease.

Product Labels

The next stage was to develop a colour palette for the product range.  The mood board was full of  corals and greens – which became the base colours for the each product. 

The product bottles varied in size, so creating a label design that was flexible for taller and wider packs was important.  Fitting in mandatory copy, including a full ingredient list and use instructions was also a challenge at the smaller size – but I love working with small layouts!

A floral orchid pattern was incorporated into the background to create texture and interest across the whole range.

Brand collateral

The client had a really clear vision for her brand, and to some degree really challenged the norms in this sector – the image choice was luxury and glamour, as opposed to the earthy or minimal designs we typically see in the New Zealand natural skincare brand sector.

The range launched with a core range of six products, with new products to follow.  The product names were unique and memorable.  To support this, a range of hero imagery was chosen for the compact square-format product brochures, and DL range brochure.
